GOOD NEWS TIME – FEBRUARY HALF TERM ALL SORTED!
Thanks to event support money from Hook Parish Council to help make it free to enter and a grant from County Councillor Jonathan Glen’s Hampshire CC devolved budget, we have lift off for a truly super half term event next February for Hook’s children.
Free Half Term Animal Fun will be on Wednesday 20th February 2019 – 11am to 4pm in Hook Community Centre. All the activity in the main hall, Sheldon, will be free for everyone. Visitors include Special Branch who will be helping children to make snakes, snails, fish and bird feeders out of willow and Mill Cottage Farm from Alton who will be bringing a selection of their small animals for children to see and talk about. These core visitors will be supported by local charities and organisations.
The ever popular Safari Pete will also be making a welcome return and giving timed talks about his wonderful animals and reptiles. However, following on from visitor feedback last year, we are planning smaller group sessions to see Safari Pete in the small hall Holt at £2 a session.
Watch out for more information about the day in January’s Hook Focus!
