THE VILLAGE HALLS ARE OPEN
As we follow the roadmap, more and more people are looking forward to taking part in their usual activities at the halls and hopefully we will continue to be open into next year and beyond, even if we have to adhere to various Covid restrictions like social distancing, masks, sanitizing, etc.
Our team of 3 part-time staff have tried hard to accommodate all returning groups, having contacted them all to see if they wanted their old slots back. Unfortunately, some were unable to say when or if they could ever return, which is sad to see. However, we have had some new hirers take up some of the space, which is good news.
The board of trustees has agreed a marketing plan and, as part of that, here is some of what we are currently planning:
HOOK BOOKS AND OTHER DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES
Hook Books has re-opened in The Elizabeth Hall but will now continue to be open on the FIRST Thursday of the month for the rest of the year including its very popular socially distanced tearoom. Please note we have changed the date to the 1st Thursday because of another booking during the third week. Suitable social distancing and other Covid measures will be in place as per Government Guidelines.
Hook Village Halls is a charity and any surplus from the popular tearoom or book sales goes to help run your village halls. However, we also keep the cost of books and prices in the tearoom as low as possible so anyone can join in and socialise in the tearoom and enjoy Louise’s scrumptious homemade cakes. Louise now runs her own business in the village, Simple Cakes, but continues to supply Hook Books tearoom at cost. Whether you are a vegan or a coeliac there is a piece of cake for you as well.
As we re-open we have lots more crates of books plus we have whole collections from the same author in the wooden bookcases, so don’t forget to look in them too.
So to confirm to follow are the 2021 dates for Hook Books:
