By now you will have hopefully received a copy of the Hook Village Halls entertainment and events programme through your door. If you haven’t, please pop in to either hall and collect a copy, or visit our website www.hookvillagehalls.org.uk.
So you don’t forget, put the dates in your diary. More information will follow and there is plenty for everyone on the programme, from the very young to older folk. As funds and time permit more will hopefully be added. In addition to the published programme we have already added a Children’s Halloween Party on Friday 26th October from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in the Elizabeth Hall. Then for next February we are planning and putting a date in the diary for a Ceilidh. Hosted by Jonathan and Sharon Glen it’s promised to be a lively gathering!
We have already had enquiries about our Music and Paella Evening on Saturday 22nd September. We’ll have a live band called The Famous Five. From Guildford, the band is very popular for gigs around the area and the feedback already is that people have great fun. So for just £20 to include food, plus a cash bar, it should be another enjoyable evening.
Back by popular demand, on Saturday 20th October, is the Laughterhouse Comedy Night, organised by Jan Jacks who runs the Basingstoke Laughterhouse Comedy Club. The Elizabeth Hall was filled with laughter last time and now the comedians have gauged Hook as an audience, this year’s should be even better. The cost is just £14.50 per ticket and there’s a cash bar.
Hook Village Halls is also holding a Summer Craft and Produce Show on Sunday 15th July. It may be part of a Hook Village Show but inside the community centre and organised and run by Hook Village Halls Charitable Association. It is a fundraiser and will go ahead whatever happens with the Hook Village Show. Then on Sunday 9th September the Village Halls are joining forces with the Hook Allotment Association and Hook In Bloom to bring the village the Hook Flower & Produce Show and the Hook In Bloom presentation. Again another very popular village event.
